Md Ahasan Habib Sarkar

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website.

I am Dr. Md Ahasan Habib Sarkar, a finance educator and researcher who recently completed my PhD in Finance at the University of Sydney Business School. I enjoy teaching, conducting impactful research, and helping students connect finance concepts with real-world decision-making. My research focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, institutional investors, and international finance, while my teaching emphasises critical thinking, practical application, and innovative learning through emerging technologies.

Before commencing my PhD, I completed a Master of Commerce (Finance) at the University of Sydney. Since then, I have remained closely connected with the University, teaching a range of undergraduate and postgraduate finance courses as both a lecturer and head tutor.  

I have a strong interest in applying finance theory to real-world investment and corporate decision-making, an approach that informs both my teaching and research.
